ADMISSION AND EDUCATION CONDITIONS
Instruction at all faculties of the University is conducted in Ukrainian (official language of the state). Foreign citizens, who are not strong enough in Ukrainian, can enter a one-year grounding (preliminary) course, which includes an intense language program (Ukrainian or Russian), as well as some basic training in Biology and Chemistry. Graduate students of this course can be enrolled in the first year classes in Lviv State University of Veterinary Medicine.
1. Start of academic year for foreign students: 2.1. Fees (US$ per one academic year)
Academic year starts September 1. Ukrainian language - 1,000
Grounding courses start October 1. Russian language - 1,500

3. Admission documents required
Giving out the Invitation to Study for foreign citizens is carried out by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine and also by the University under the following circumstances: foreigners should present all the required documents (or copies) to the University under visa supporting of the International Affairs Office (details in the unit "Visa Support").
The educational program at all faculties of Lviv State University of Veterinary Medicine is conducted in Ukrainian or Russian languages (in Russian, when there are more than 3 applicants) -according to the choice.
From 15.08. till 15.11. is the term of admission for foreign citizens to study.
Foreign citizens should present the following documents:
Completed
application form (including full name, date of birth, passport
number, citizenship,
permanent address, phone, fax and e-mail of
applicant);
Senior high school (12 years of education) transcripts;
Certificate
about HIV test results, if something else is not foreseen in
international agree
ments of Ukraine;
Physical
health examination report, certified by the official Health
protection bodies of that
country, from which foreign citizens
come.
The documents should be issued two months before leaving to Ukraine for study;
Birth certificate;
Eight photographs 3x4 cm;


The documents, mentioned in "b", "d", "e" paragraphs, should be certified according to the legislation of the country, where they were issued, and legalized in the determined order, if something else is not foreseen in international agreements of Ukraine.
The tuition fees for foreign citizens in Ukraine are determined by fixed order of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economics of Ukraine.
Foreign citizens can be enrolled to the University after their Biology and Ukrainian or Russian interview results.
Foreign citizens, who are given with state grants according to the international agreements, general state programs, other international obligations of Ukraine, can be enrolled to the University on the basis of the documents from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine within the limits of state order.
Foreign citizens can be enrolled to the University after concluded contracts.
5. Lviv State University of Veterinary Medicine can provide dormitory accommodation for students (annual accommodation fee covers US$ 200 depending on living conditions). The students' hostels are located near the main academic buildings. Students can be accommodated in hostels with everything needed for studying (including internet club), everyday life (with canteens, cafes', the barber's) and rest (gyms available).
